I’m Jacob Bigus (he/him), a Licensed Master Social Worker in Kansas. Before therapy, I spent years as a musician, learning how rhythm, silence, and symbolism help us say what words alone can’t. In session, I bring that same attentiveness to your story: the patterns, the pauses, and the parts of you that long to be heard.
I’m affirming of diverse identities, relationships, and expressions. I work well with people who’ve never felt “typical”, all men and masculine‑of‑center folks, LGBTQIA+ clients, neurodivergent thinkers, creatives, and those exploring kink and non‑monogamy. My style is collaborative, direct, and compassionate. We’ll go deep, but we’ll go at your pace.
Training & Modalities: IFS (Internal Family Systems), existential therapy, CBT, mindfulness and meditative practices, journaling, and therapeutic use of symbolism and tarot. When helpful, we may invite archetypes or imagery as reflective tools, always client‑led, always consent‑based, never prescriptive.
